How to Wash and Care for DTF Printed Shirts
A little care helps keep your DTF (Direct to Film) printed shirts looking their best. Follow these simple steps to protect your design.
Before the First Wash
Wait 24–48 hours after printing before washing your shirt.
Washing Instructions
- Turn the shirt inside out to reduce friction against the print.
- Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle.
- Use a mild detergent.
- Avoid bleach and fabric softeners.
Drying Instructions
Air drying is best. Hang your shirt or lay it flat in the shade, away from direct sunlight.
If using a dryer, keep the shirt inside out and select low heat. High temperatures can damage the print.
Ironing Instructions
Never iron directly on the design. Turn the shirt inside out, use low heat and avoid the printed area.
Check the Care Label
Follow any stricter instructions on the garment label.
Quick reminder: Inside out. Cold wash. Mild detergent. Air dry or tumble dry low.
