Mental Illness Awareness Week (October 1-7)

Hey guys, it’s Mental Illness Awareness Week!

Mental health is more than mental illness. It’s more than being happy all the time, It’s about feeling good about who you are, having balance in your life, and managing life’s highs and lows. Everyone deserves to feel well, whatever their mental health experience. And we all need a support system to learn on. We’ll be sharing some helpful resources all week long to spread awareness, hopefully to open up a discussion at home or work!

Depression is highly treatable. In fact, it is the most treatable of all mental health issues, and the sooner you seek to support the faster and better the results.

Today we’re sharing http://www.test4depression.com/, powered by Calgary Counselling Centre. Through this site, you can take a free, anonymous depression-screening test online during this week (October 1-7).

This test does not attempt to offer a diagnosis but instead, it points out to participants the presence or absence of depressive symptoms and offers a recommendation for further evaluation if needed.
